Welcome to RBCaminoBernardo.com, The Picture of Camino Bernardo

This site contains Camino Bernardo community information and aerial photographs from the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego, California.

Camino Bernardo is a residential community in the southwest corner of Rancho Bernardo.  Located south of Camino Del Norte and east of Bernardo Center Drive, it sits between High Country West, 4S Ranch, and Rancho Penasquitos.  It consists of 300+ hillside homes.  The Falls, within Camino Bernardo, is a collection of condominium town homes with easy access to area employment and shopping areas.

This is the top of Camino Bernardo looking to the west across 4S Ranch.  From the bottom center of the photo, Paseo Montenoso runs into Avenida de los Lobos.  Camino Crisalida and Camino Abrojo sit behind and above the open space hillside.  4S Ranch is in the far background.  Lusardi Creek runs through the pond that can be seen on the left side of the photo.

This photo looks north across The Falls and High Country West.  Camino Del Norte runs across the center of the photo from left to right (going towards the freeway).  Bernardo Center Drive runs up the left side of the photo towards I-15 and the center of Rancho Bernardo.  The new “Turtleback” pedestrian bridge can be seen crossing Camino Del Norte near the intersection with Bernardo Center Drive.  This bridge was built by Newland Communities of 4S Ranch, in a cooperative effort with the community, as a traffic mitigation measure.  It is a new signature piece for this community, and provides a safer journey to school for Turtleback Elementary students.  Turtleback School is near the center of the photo, just below the High Country West Community Center.  The Rancho Bernardo Business Park is on the left.

This area of Camino Bernardo has single family homes with views.  It is south of Camino del Norte, east of Bernardo Center Drive, and west of I-15. The start of the new Bernardo Center Drive extension (to 4S Ranch) can be seen upper left. "Turtleback Bridge" crosses to High Country West Plaza (upper right corner). It gives students a safer journey to Turtleback Elementary School. Camino Crisalida is on the left, Avenida de Los Lobos starts across the bottom, and Camino's Codorniz and Abrojo form the circle at the top of the hill. The hillsides are preserved as open space.

The Falls and Camino Bernardo

This view looks south from Camino Del Norte towards Black Mountain. The intersection at Bernardo Center Drive, with the new "Turtleback" pedestrian bridge is in the lower right corner.  Bernardo Center Drive can be seen running along the right hand side of the photo into 4S Ranch and towards Carmel Valley. The Falls are in the lower part of the photo, and Camino Bernardo is just above The Falls. A corner of Rancho Penasquitos can be seen in the upper left corner.
